Last week home

Well this is my last week home with my two month old son. I have to return to work for nineteen days before summer break. My heart is heavy and I know it will be hard not being able to look into his glowing face whenever I want. So for those of you out there that are following our blog please lift me up in your prayers! Bryan too since he'll be watching him all day on Mondays!

Bolen received his 2nd month shots yesterday!

Yesterday Bryan and I took Bolen to the doctor to get his second month shots. He was fussy and very sleepy yesterday as you can see in the picture of him and daddy sleeping!

However today he's all smiles! Must be feeling much better!

New addition-Bolen Bryan Barthelmess

You would think by now I would have posted a picture of our son. However, with the lack of sleep and endless diapers and feedings I seem to have no time to do anything! Hopefully I will slowly catch you all up on this new chapter in our lives. Bolen Bryan Barthelmess our first son and only child entered our world on February 22, 2009-three weeks early to our blessed surprise! With our friends by our side, Bryan and I made it through a 16-hour labor and delivery! He had been face down and came down the birth canal at an angle, which gave him an abrasion on his tiny skull. Due to this Bolen struggled with jaundice for the first couple weeks of his life. Healthy now and two months old tomorrow Bolen is now growing like a weed! On Thursday, Bryan and I will take him to get his two-month-old shots. I think I might make Bryan go in and I'll wait outside! We were blessed with my mother coming down the week Bolen was born, the Barthelmess family came down the next week and then my parents came together the week of March 28th. Our church provided meals for us for the first two weeks and we continually had other friends bless us with more food, phone calls, gifts, and a ton of prayers. So we thank you all for everything! Motherhood is such an amazing experience-tiring but amazing! Bryan is the best dad, changing diapers, putting Bolen to sleep, bathing him!! I love to watch their father-son interactions! Unfortunately, I have to return to work on May 4th to finish the school year. Thankfully the Lord has provided us with a great babysitter close to the school so I can pop by at lunch and feed Bolen and give him some mom-lovin’ Enjoy some of our old and new pictures of our family! Love and miss you all!
