New classroom

The start of new beginnings!

Finally on Thursday I got to go into my new classroom at Glendale American! I have taught sixth grade for the last two years out in portable which is a nice name for a trailor house! This year I will be teaching fifth grade inside the main building and I am very excited to create a AWESOME learning environment. I do have a SMARTBOARD again and have had one since the beginning of last year. For those of you who don't know what a SMARTBOARD is, it's like a giant interactive computer screen. It replaces the use of overheads, chalk, and whiteboards! I can't imagine teaching without one. This picture is a shot looking at my desk area since that's the only area I hung stuff on the wall. I have a way to go but it's a start.

Ethan Fire close to home

On Wednesday night the brush fire known as the Ethan Fire was started by a lightening strike during one of our first monsoon storms. Throughout the rest of the week fire crews worked day and night to try and contain the fire. I took this picture from our front yard the night it started. The fire is about 15 miles southeast of our home, looks closer though huh?!

Day one of SUMMER VACATION

Yesterday was my first official day of summer break as a teacher. No math camp, summer school, room cleaning just me, the radio, and hours of organizing wedding photos! I didn't leave the house until 3:00PM when I went to workout so when Bryan returned home from a long day of working with junior golfers in the hot Arizona sun I was a little more than overwhelmed to see him. I showered him with tons of attention, poor guy the only person I had talked to all day and I bathed him in a vocal array of information! With his eye lids drooping as I rattled off all the meaningless information about my day, I told him he better get use to it I have 47 more days of SUMMER VACATION! Don't get me wrong Bryan is an excellent listener and husband. It's just the 113 degree heats sucks a mans energy out so fast there's nothing left when he returns home. Well day two of summer vaca. is off to a blan start, checked all the websites one can, ate my oatmeal, talked to mom, called in on KFLR riddle of the day(got it wrong), and now onto my devotion before working on the larger wedding album. I pray the Lord richly blesses all your days! Lo

The Stonester

One more picture I couldn't forget to post. We were blessed again this fall by having Jason Johnstone live with us from October to May. I thought I better include him since he was a BIG part of our lives this year. Miss you Stoney!! "Bones it!"

Enjoy the trip down Memory Lane

I hope you'll enjoy keeping tabs on us this way. I added a lot of pictures today just to update everyone on what this year has brought our way. Let us know what you think and we'll keep you posted on what the Lord is doing in our lives!!!

Lovin' the b-ball

Awwww. . . remember when we were young and in college? Those intramural sports? We reigned-good times!

My favorite player!

In January this year Glendale, Arizona hosted the Super Bowl. Bryan and I were bless to attend the NFL Experience. The NFL Experience was located at the Cardinal Stadium and consisted of museums, activities, food, stores, ect. This picture is of Dan Marino. . .I mean Bryan posing with his favorite teams uniform.

Running with dad

This Christmas my parents blessed me with a trip home for my cousin Janie's wedding (thank you again). This picture is taken on a brisk December morning in Worland, Wyoming. Right before my favorite running partner and I went out and killed ourselves trying to maintain our figures (or regain. . ?) I love you dad!!
This picture was taken in March when my parents came out to visit us for the first time. We went to Sea World, what a day we had and a fast trip. Our tour guide Bryan was amazing and hot! I wonder if he's married?

Spring Training Game

Happy 80th Birthday Grandma Bob!

We wish we could have been there to celebrate! We love you!

Good Golfing Morning!!!

Good morning! Today is the first day I am attempting to be a BLOGGER!

A little about ourselves: Bryan is an assistant golf professional at the Phoenix Country Club obviously in Phoenix and I am a teacher in Glendale.

We moved out here in 2006. Bryan's dream is to play professional golf and so in March of 2006 he move to Chandler and started working outside service at Octatillo. In July of 2006, I moved to Phoenix after receiving my teaching contract in the Glendale Elementary School District. We were married in Condon, Montana on July 14th, 2007 the following summer. In October of 2007 we purchased our first home in Goodyear, Arizona.

We have no children yet, not pets besides the occasional Earwig that claws into our house (YUCK!) and the birds I feed (yes I am going to be a crazy old bird feeding lady one day).

Our relationship with our Heavenly Farther is the most important one we have in our lives. Every day we strive to live like our Savior and see where He is working and join Him there. The Lord has richly blessed our lives in all aspects and one day I will document them on blogger!
